Super Easy!
Im new to apps like this…. so you might want to take what I say with a grain of salt. I was used to simply mailing to groups using my mac mail app. I wanted more mail list control, url-like appearance, and things like unsubscribe and update email address available to the recipients. This does all that and more.
I learned Direct Mail quickly and had my first customized mailing out in about half an hour. I grabbed graphics from my website and incorporated it into one of their many nice templates. My product looks fresh, professional, and recognizable to those on my list.
What happens after you send is fun. Within 2 minutes of sending, I knew that 10 people had opened and looked at it. I knew who opened and how many times they opened. As the day progressed…more opened…then I started getting responses. I also was alerted to bad email addresses…so I can fix my mailing list. Duplicates are excluded automatically. You also know what kind of email programs theyre using.
I never knew it could be this cool. One caveat, It is not free. When I downloaded it said "first 50 emails are free." I thought that meant 50 mailings to the groups. Doh! It means 50 emails. So if your group size is 50, your done after one send. You are given an option to buy. 5000 for $59 (or thereabouts) You also have a one time option for about $99 if you are more web savvy and you want to run it through your web service host. I didnt know how to do that so for now, I paid. I will figure out how later. I love this App. The web-based faq and instruction area is also good…. only had to use it for one issue though. The rest of the experience was pretty intuitive.
The company seems to have scruples. They do not want their customers to be spammers. I like that. At the bottom of each piece that is sent out is a link to report as spam. I like that.
